Scope
Welded and seamless black and galvanized steel pipe for utility, plumbing, low-pressure service.
Key requirements (7)
- Pipe — Black and Hot-Dipped, Zinc-Coated, Welded and Seamless.
- Grades A and B: Grade A (yield 30 ksi, UTS 48 ksi); Grade B (yield 35 ksi, UTS 60 ksi).
- Common for water, steam, low-pressure gas, structural service.
- NOT suitable for higher-pressure refinery service (use A106 instead).
- Manufacturing: Type F (furnace welded), Type E (ERW), Type S (seamless).
- Sizes: NPS 1/8 to 26.
- Hydrotest: per pipe at mill, typically 700–2500 psi by NPS/schedule.
